Q: What do I need to bring?
A: To help reduce waste, volunteers are asked to bring reusable supplies, such as a bucket to collect litter, gardening or work gloves, and a reusable water bottle. Supplies will be available on-site if you do not have any of these items. Please bring a completed waiver form that can be found on the Creek to Bay website. It helps to speed up the check in process if volunteers have their completed waiver in hand when they arrive. Volunteers may want to bring extra water or snacks, and should wear sturdy closed toed shoes and clothing appropriate for a cleanup. Hats and sunscreen are also recommended.
Q: How old do I have to be to volunteer? Is this event good for kids and families?
A: Creek to Bay is a great event for the whole family. Kids are more than welcome to participate; volunteering at a young age can instill community stewardship for life! Please remember, volunteers under the age of 18 will need to have a parent or guardian signature on their waiver in order to participate.
